Dean's message

It is my pleasure to present to you the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences, part of Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, and also to give you some information about the significant opportunity you have to get a diploma in political science, public administration, journalism, communication or publicity. Our faculty departments have recently been evaluated as offering the best bachelor and master programs in Romania in these areas. The entire teaching staff is committed to providing exceptional education to all students, preparing them for a successful and rewarding career in the public, nonprofit or private sector. The faculty and its members aspire to excellence in teaching, research and community involvement, and the challenges we face today force us to insist on the application of high standards of education and integrity.

As far as the Department of Administration and Public Management is concerned, our educational programs are, in Romania, the benchmark in terms of quality in university education of public administration; through the goals we propose, we always try to stay in a top position and adapt to the major changes in the social and political environment.

We distinguish ourselves as a faculty in that we aim to transform our knowledge into action and that we aim to actively promote engagement in community issues. Teachers often provide advice to local, regional and national public authorities on important public policy issues; are frequently contacted for their expertise by local and national media; engages with students to help communities identify development challenges and implement strategies to overcome them.
