Supporting Moldovan and Ukrainian Transnational Families in the EU (CASTLE - Children lAbour Support Transnational famiLies Eu)
‘Children Left Behind by Labour Migration’ is a 30-month action that aims to support the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine in improving their child protection frameworks and migration and mobility policies, with a focus on the social and legal impacts of labour migration on transnational families. The action analyses the situation of children left behind by their parents who engaged or are engaging in labour migration from the perspective of their rights and possibly within transnational family practices that create, observe and enforce such rights. For this purpose, the intervention aims to develop a multigenerational, intersectional and participative qualitative analysis of child rights in a transnational family context.
