It is particularly interested in the democratic potential of civil society, as well as its tensions, inequalities, exclusions, and limitations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left alignwide wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The journal welcomes research on civil society organizations, volunteering, civic and political participation, political culture, social capital, trust, democratization, state &#8211; civil society relations, and public policies affecting civil society. It also encourages work on gender, diversity, minority inclusion, representation, religious and secular forms of civil society, and the ways in which social differences shape participation, organizational life, access to resources, and political influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left alignwide wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Politics and Civil Society has a strong interest in empirical, comparative, and quantitatively oriented research.
