Eduardo Alvarez-Lopez Eduardo Alvarez-Lopez, Spain, Erasmus student at the Journalism Department from October 2011 to May 2012 My favorite part of my Erasmus experience in Cluj was getting to know a different country and to meet different people, with another culture and point of view on life. I tried to learn Romanian language at the same time that I was improving my English. My friends still make fun of me when they say I went to Romania to learn English and "limba română". It's a great opportunity to get to know another country and see how wrong you were with the conception and the perception of the country. The trips around Romania were also among my favorite experiences; during one year I discovered almost the whole country, but I still have some parts to discover, so I have to come back. I decided to stay in Cluj for two semesters because I fell in love with the city, the country and the atmosphere. I felt that one semester was not enough, so I decided to prolong my stay. I made really good friends from different countries and I learn a lot about their lives, about different cultures. Also, the teachers… Read More»
Joel Hernandez Cazorla Joel Hernandez Cazorla, Spain, Erasmus student at the Journalism Department from October 2012 When I decided to study in Cluj, I did not know anything about the city or the faculty. I just looked up for the courses and the programs on the website. I arrived at Cluj in the last week of September. At the beginning of November, I had already fallen in love with the city. The main reason why I like it so much is because of the student environment. Moreover, in the city there are a lot of possibilities of visiting places or sightseeing. There are lots of cultural events, interesting clubs and cafés, leisure places and sport facilities. At the beginning of October, I visited the University to check my schedule and to talk with the teachers about my Learning Agreement. Front the beginning, they helped me with the choices and the possibilities. In addition, they showed me the building and explained the way things are working around here. They seem very glad with our visit. They also used to send us emails with the assignments, feedback and, also, with advices for the daily life. The faculty is really updated. It has… Read More»
Ardiel Plata Ardiel Plata, Spain, Erasmus student at the Journalism Department from October 2012 to January 2013 My name is Ardiel and I study in Madrid, but I'm from Canary Islands, Spain, thousands of miles away from one of the most charming cities in Romania and Europe, Cluj-Napoca. Cluj is characterized for its incredible cosmopolitan atmosphere, great college environment and its enormous cultural offer. But what most attracts me to this place is the people. Romanians are open-minded people, charming, impulsive, with a big heart, big smile, and always willing to help you. Something that we can find within the walls of FSPAC is the Journalism school, where I study. In this place, students not only benefit from the things that I described, but also from the teachers. For me it is a pleasure to study with my colleagues and the teachers, who have a background of knowledge about the actual world of journalism and are so willing to cooperate and stand out for their students. This attitude transmitted to the students brings good initiatives and above all, learning through practice; for this, the college has a large number of devices and modern places. Studying in Cluj-Napoca is a great… Read More»
